BILL KELLY was at his first radio job in Phoenix, Arizona on August 16, 1977 when the world learned of the death of Elvis Presley. He was immediately dispatched to put together a radio "tribute" to the "King of Rock and Roll." Although already a casual Elvis fan, after pouring through the hundreds of Presley recordings for this radio tribute, Bill Kelly was hooked. The six hour radio show was so well received by Elvis fans it became a regular weekly on the station called "The Elvis Hour" and became one of the highest rated shows in Phoenix.

Bill Kelly also worked in some "oldies" nightclubs in Phoenix and would occasionally be brought up on stage to sing. One night, after bringing the house down with a couple of Elvis songs, the manager suggested a full blown Elvis Tribute Show and the show was a great success. Offers started to come in for him to perform his Elvis Tribute Show, but Bill never strayed far from his radio roots.

Bill Kelly moved to Lexington in March of 1980 and quickly established himself as a performer in various nightclubs. In August of 1980, Bill performed his first live Elvis tribute concert in Central Kentucky with two sold out shows at the continental Inn Ballroom. With the exception of a brief hiatus from performing in the late 80's, Bill Kelly has been doing his "Dedication To A King" Elvis tribute throughout Kentucky and surrounding states ever since.  His performances have received both regional and national attention in the past few years; thus keeping alive the music and the memories of the King of Rock & Roll!
